‘Napster’ Abstract Feline Head Sculpture
Commissioned by Napster in the late 90s, this abstract feline head sculpture was created by Contemporary American artist Mark Yurkiw. This promotional art is made out of thermoformed acrylic and has a metallic painted finish. The feline's head, fabricated in New York City at Yurkiw's studio, is a symbol of the iconic Napster name, and the rise of its digital streaming service. Yurkiw's career spans over thirty years in producing 3D advertising art for publication in various leading magazines, book jackets, television, and film. Today, these objects can serve as objet d'art that lends a pop-art vibe.
